Technician, of course CNBC has both Bullish and Bearish analysts on their various programs and well they should. I'm simply exasperated with people like what's his name from the Prudent Bear Fund spouting off overvaluations in INET stocks like AOL. All you have to do is look at it's rate of return of minus 2% for the past year to realize he just doesn't get it! IMO the market drives the price of the underlying stock and AOL is one of the best in the eyes of smart investors and they are willing to pay top dollar to own it.

Technician,

Thank you for a nicely written post.
I'm glad to see that not all AOL investors are merely cheerleaders, but understand that AOL can fall as easily as it can rise.

AOL will correct just like others. But its strength in demand will help it rise again.

I, too, hold AOL. We all expect good earnings this quarter. But I don't expect a split. If one comes, I'll be very happy.
And, I believe it will sell off after the earnings, though not drastically (remember-buy rumor, yada, yada). How do you think it will react if there is no split?
