Barry - Thanks for covering the rest of Kumar. These are relevant points.

I always like what Kumar has to say. You all know he used to work at Intel, don't you? I swear I can pick up little bits of lingo he uses and attribute it to his Intel days.

You got most of it.

I would only add that he mentioned that he expects some greater than expected pc buying later this year as some solve Y2K issues by simply buying new Y2K compliant pcs; and Intel's IA-64 (Merced), which he said is "coming out later next year", as a driver of even greater growth for Intel.

When asked what his top pick was he said, "Intel is THE one to have in your portfolio."

All in all, it was VERY upbeat sounding for Intel but not good for Compaq.
