re goldman fund.. you might want to drop a note to the fund manager and ask him what his strategy is...I've been hanging on to some Royce closed-end fund. Royce is really good about telling shareholders what he thinks and is doing. He has hanging onto to takeover targets that hold huge chunks of cash, bonds and tangible assets while deliberately harvesting tax losses. Everything in smallcap value is at 1974 valuations and the performance of this one is pretty typical of the sector. Maybe shares of a jewelry store are timely....
