whatever it will be, will be short lived, CPQ
was already expected somewhat, but INTC and MOT
on TUE afternoon will set the tone for a broad
TECH rally, Monday and Tuesday might be buying
on dip ops.

AOL will probably trade in the 155 - 165 range
through this.

C,
Just my humble guess, but I would expect tech in general to be somewhat tenuous until the Intel announcement. I would imagine the hardware makers will all take a hit initially, but may then find some bargain hunters. I would expect AOL and the other net stocks to weather the "storm" better than the hardware/software stocks and potentially attract some of these $ as you suggested. If Intel's earnings are weak I would expect a rush for the door. CPQ management has no credibility (Ashok Kumar does.)

CG,

I snipped this from someone else's post, but it is oh so appropriate!
Thanks to EDUCATOR from the ATHM thread!

"Imagine that AOL is a train taking you on a travel. You have reached your destination and decide to get off. The engineer gladly stops the train for you. The conductor escorts you to the nearest exit. You step off with your luggage, and notice few others are joining you. The train continues heading north. You stand there and marvel its strength as it gathers up steam and disappears over the horizon. When it's gone, you look around you. The landscape isn't so bad because the train did bring you to an attractive location. The distance between you and the train widens with each passing moment. You think that maybe this place isn't so bad, but you wonder what it might have been like over the horizon."
