Unless there is another (hidden) agenda, like establishing a major US base in Albania, the armed intrusion by NATO into the Balkans must/will go down as one of the greatest strategic blunders in history. Clinton & Co thought this was going to be an easy "armchair/pushbutton" war in which they could gain "brownie points" for their concern for humanity. What an incredible lack of judgement. Believe me, I'm no lover of Milosevic but whatever crimes he and his thugs have done, to allegedly innocent Albanian Kosovars, will pale into insignificance against the horrors of a major war. And the unintended consequences which, as yet, can only be imagined. I understand Rwanda is charging the UN as an accomplice in the massacres.
