For the first time, I looked at Vivus' options table:
cboe.pcquote.com

I know little about futures trading. I understand strike price and premium, just have difficulty interpreting the table.

Could somebody briefly explain to me the option trading on Vivus? Specifically, how the table looks now, how has it looked in the past, and what are significant moves in terms of upticks/downticks and volume?

I wouldn't count on that. Vivus has had a history of showing gains on days when the NASDAQ has been hammered. I don't see much down side at this point in time based on the fundamentals and pending news.
