Hi, Elliot - Just wanted to follow up on your comments about INKT Shopping Engine as IMO that's the fuel for the pop in stock price.

FWIW, I haven't posted on INKT thread before but have exchanged OT commentary on other threads with other SH. One reason, I haven't posted is that for pure internet play, I consider INKT as one of LT buy and hold 'killer category' stocks along with CMGI, AOL, all portals, EXDS, DCLK, ATHM, NSOL, RNWK, BCST, VRSN and INSP. These IMO are straight B and H, if you are looking LT. Tinkering and timing just ends up costing more as you chase the shares you just sold, 'Geez, if I had just held on to the trimmed shares, by now, after the (1st...2nd...3rd split), I would have ______ # shares now.' I'm sure many others recognize this "seller's remorse" ! Right now we're probably looking at # 2 split for INKT -- in what about 6 months ? Obviously, more knowledgeable TA tactitians may fare better on the timing and shorts obviously have their days but NOTHING beats LT buy and hold for 'category killer' stocks.

FWIW, it seems once INKT survived the scare when MSFT announced its alliance with Alta Vista -- and it became clear that was business decision by MSFT and not a reflection on INKT's LT prospects -- then the stock price slowly regained momentum. This has always been more than a one trick pony anyway with the caching capacity as well as the wholesale search engine but the Shopping Engine feature appears to be catapaulting INKT to an additional category killer status, as noted in article below:

* Inktomi (NASDAQ:INKT) adds 350 merchants to its shopping search engine service that's used by more than 20 sites. This shopping service could be a threat to Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) I believe, especially since it has a feature for easy buying. Inktomi to me looks like it's becoming the replacement to the mall concept and the etail concept. Shop bots.

How about that ? A threat to AMZN !! Pretty heady stuff !

Many internet shorting candidates are evident but IMO shorting INKT sooner or later is just "GISRK" -- Guaranteed Industrial Sized Road Kill !! Just IMO.

Anyway -- good luck to all --
