** OT ** to Steelguy and apologies to the thread for taking up space like there isn't enough crap on it already. Hi SG, sold short at 27.00 a few minutes after open covered 30 min later at 24.10 Stupid uptick rule makes it hard when its falling like a rock. They won't let you short at GL on a downtick at the open. OSC rules I guess. You know I think its easier to pick a stock that is going down, I do it all the time unintentionally, LOL. I will do it again on Monday if the opportunity is there. I do think we will see a similar open on Monday but maybe with an uptick at open. PS I have posted a few times when I went short on Bank stocks on The momentum trading in Canada thread. I usually have only shorted this type of stock because its not like you will lose your shirt on the release of drill holes. Looking to go short RY on Monday or Tuesday for a few days. That one has been trading nice. Maybe TD also its up too much but stong uptrend on that one. If you would like to talk about shorting we should move to this thread as Ward and company are very open to shorting and Ward does it avidly. I would love to discuss strategies with someone as I am always willing to pick up new ideas and pass along some of mine. Subject 23841 Andy
