<I'm beginning to think
BC and Albright don't give a damn about our servicemen and women>

Did you see Jim Leher's interview last night with one of Johnson's advisors from back in the Viet Nam war era? He made several points, which I think are quite accurate:

1.You won't find one member of Clinton's cabinet or one member of Congress who has a child in the military that could be sent to Kosovo. I didn't see Chelsea signing up, did you?

2. It is a poor man's army. The bottom 3 enlisted grades are paid less than the poverty level wage.

Think of it as Danny DeVito said once, "OPM"

In his case he meant Other Peoples' Money
In BC's case it is Other Peoples' Men

Bingo. You've hit the nail squarely on the head.

Clint and Alwrong had no concept of how courageous under fire people can be. They know they would fold immediately, and assume others would, too. Remember at the start they predicted two or three days of bombing.

Hah.

Now that their plans didn't work, they have no idea how to get out of this. In the meantime, keep bombing even though it simply makes things worse for EVERYBODY.
