To all: I jumped in this morning after seeing the vol perk up yesterday. Very happy to see the 5M shares today. Looking for a further increase Mon. If this news about Lucent is true it may have something to do with this from the eDig web site:STRATEGIC OVERVIEW e.Digital, based in San Diego, California, offers custom product design and manufacturing services to its OEM customers and licenses its line of patented hardware and software technologies for use in a wide variety of handheld devices. Currently, the company is developing products for Lanier Worldwide, Inc., and Intel Corporation. e.Digital has also developed a prototype of a solid-state music player for Lucent Technologies. The company is an innovator in utilizing flash memory for digital voice, audio, image, video and data recording, storage, computer interface and playback. e.Digital's specialty is developing computer-compatible OEM products utilizing its patented MicroOS™ flash memory file management system. Whoa baby! We were just discussing this subject at work a few weeks ago. No moving parts (compared to a CD player), CD quality and download your tunes from the internet. You thought the cassette over the 8 track, then CD over cassette was the way to go. I wonder if while your on the east coast and your brother on the west coast doesn't have the new YES album, you can email it to him for a download to flash memory? How about driving around town your in the mood for Styx Equinox which you don't possess. So you call your local wireless download site by cell phone and it's beamed to your car. Wireless is really coming on strong. Haven't had too much of a chance to research if there are any of these devices out there yet (is eDig the first??) How about flash memory. They have CompactFlash tm. Is this the #1 flash memory. Heard Sony came out with memory sticks-8MB and will soon have 16,32 and 64MB. How does eDig compare? I assume the operating system is the plus for eDig which ties all this technology together. Any other players out there? I'm going to research this weekend about this solid state music player. Appreciate it if anyone comes up with any pertinent info. Steve
