Let's see- yes any country has the right to allow the deprivation of the lives of its citizens or future citizens (allowing for abortion here). I like the fact that in our country "due process" is required. But I see no reason why a country has to provide due process. And while I might have the right to run away I would argue that no one has to help me or take me in.

The effort to compare Waco, Ruby Ridge, the death penalty or abortion with the grim reality of political repression or ethnic cleansing as practiced in so many parts of the world stems from a gap which goes beyond ignorance. Most Americans simply cannot imagine or conceive of a situation in which due process becomes totally irrelevant, the forces of coercion run rampant, and the abstract notion of "rights" means absolutely nothing.

Understandable in a way. Until you've actually seen it happen, it is hard to imagine what it actually means.
