I don't necessarily agree with the fool's perception that 3dfx's performance lead is unsustainable, but I do think that we are at one of those "crossroads". OEM penetration of 2000 & 3000, and possible penetration of what we are refering to 4000 (4x agp part or next gen chip, depends on who you talk to). If I remember correctly, with Banshee Packerd bell europe was one of the first OEM's to make an announcement. Looks like same situation again now, i'm curious to see what gateway is going to do though and if we do pull gateway again, instead of listing "16 meg agp card" I hope we see some branding. Dell would be a nice feather in 3dfx's cap also.

Anti-hype: Personally, I would love to see TDFX de-hype TNT2 by announcing the 4000 part right at / near the commercial release of TNT2. I think the timeframe might actually work in our favor this time.

V3 : So far so good... can't wait to see q1 & 2 results. Retail sounds really strong.
