Michael Murphy "words of wisdom"...

Tech Tip of the Month
April and May are normally volatile months for technology stocks, but
with an upward bias. Earnings reports for the March quarter begin
around April 13th and continue hot 'n' heavy for the next three weeks. At
the end of April the granddaddy of all brokerage firm technology
conferences, the Hambrecht & Quist Conference, opens on the 26th for
a four-day run. That usually provides another boost up into mid-May.
The "summer slump" you've heard about doesn't always happen, but I
usually count on a 5% to 10% decline in technology at some point in the
September quarter.
