VISX

COHR is a major medical laser company, market cap $312 million

"Produces over 150 laser, laser system, precision optics and component products. The company operates in two major business segments: Medical, which serves the medical-surgical community; and Electro-Optical, which serves the needs of scientific and commercial customers."

Most medical laser companies generate income by selling or leasing lasers and the fibers to carry the beam. Is VISX collecting a fee for each procedure done? I seem to remember a discussion to that effect once about the previous generation of eye surgery lasers.
