bgr..monday may be a time to sell puts.. i've been holding some cpq 0040 puts, that i sold a while back (1997) when the stock was around 28...if the volatilty swells on cpq...i'll probably cover and roll to 0140's...looking for more than the normal one point spread between 00 and 01...bad news can offer this...and in another month..the 02's arrrive.. believe compaq will fall back into the 24-28 channel it traded for almost a year...still see dell testing 40-42 as it is now doing..and moving 48-52 by month end...the recent run up to 48 was impressive..the selling has not been on extreme volume...think we can see a new high by end may....i only look at day to day action for options purposes...never concern about the common.... not familiar with cnet...i'll take a look...bought some aol...only becuase of the options volatilty.....i think this is one example where i'm not enamored by the fundamentals, but it fits my parameters to write calls against...high premiums, and if called no regrets...bought on an impulse, not the best price, but forcing myself to get a feel for price action... i must say the dell thread is the only one where there is always good info or comments on the stock...read some of the other threads, and wonder why people even bother to post!
