Greener,
Nothing personal. Didn't see somewhere that Dell sold eight million shares of Dell this week. Sorry Compaq will hit you guys Monday. We might as well face it. What is good for Dell is sometimes good for Compaq. What is bad for Compaq is sometimes bad for Dell. Based on that, it is sort of funny that some Dell stock holders wish so many bad things for Compaq.
Good Night,
NW

They pretty much got hammered on Moneyline by Lou,"possibly the catalyst for the techs, etc." Great showing! as you all know, weather its true or not,(and in this case it is), perception is everything. JB

To Greener: I too was a Dell shareholder until Wednesday
of this week,(I still own a little CPQ at 44) but was
glad to bail out of a large holding around 47. Dell is
BY FAR a much better company but the Pig is now in the
pot and it just doesn't smell that good. You'll just
have to hold and pick a point to dollar cost average
down. The same of course is true for CPQ. To all CPQ
shareholders who did not go through the HELL of holding
from late 97 and into most of 98: This thing will probably
NOT BOTTOM ON MONDAY!!!!! My advice is too nibble a
little in the upper 20s and wait for a retracement to
the yearly low of 22 and change. I lost a Bundle on
this company on October 8th but got it all back in Dell
and AOL. REMEMBER, nibble a little on Monday and then
WAIT for additional bad news to be released on earnings
date. GOOD LUCK and please for goodness sake, put some
NEW money to work in some first and second tier
internet issues!!!!!
