CPQ's earnings warning may actually help AMTD. Since AMTD benefits from trade commissions, I expect traders to be busy buying/selling stocks. I believe the online brokers are one of the best values on the internet today! Imagine $8 for every trade? AOL would have to provide 10 days worth of Internet access to 1 customer for that amount. AMTD is a pioneer in discount online brokerage, I fully expect AMTD to be a big winner down the road. Compare EBAY,AMZN at market cap values of 22-32 billion vs AMTD of 6 billion. AMTD and some of it's peers like EGRP, NDB will all be successful. Yes, I own AMTD shares, but I feel this whole sector is undervalued compared to the rest of the Internet players.
