Cheeky -

Where are all the problems that were predicted for Jan. 01/99 April 01/99 and April 09/99 as those were critical dates for Y2K and the "99" problem.

For one thing, the analysis process to pinpoint specific date/trigger events is far easier than looking across a portfolio for all potential date logic problems.

I don't see anything.

And since when does a company hold a press conference when they have (computer) operational screw-ups? Doesn't happen even under the best of circumstances.

In many companies there's a firmly embedded culture of "shoot the messenger"... this works very effectively to insulate management from problems when production staff is highly motivated to only bring good news to the boss.
