<<Stats show that zero population growth is a reality for the states >> I dispute this completely. What stats are you talking about? This is untrue. Every census disputes this. Further more it has already gone to far. Two children per family would reduce the population. This is what is really needed.
<< It is
most of the rest of the world where the pop problems exist.>> How can you say this ?The US is 5% of the worlds population yet we produce over 25% of her pollution and use over 25% of her natural resources. Simple arithmetic tells us that every American is worth many third world inhabitants pollution and resource use wise.
<<
quality of life problems occur both in the large cities (Seattle and Tacoma:
congestion, traffic, air quality, crime)>>Over population like I said! <<in rural areas where fertilizer, live stock,
and slash forestry and then slash burning create water and air pollution. >>Don't you see this comes from producing for the large populations! The vast bulk of the pollution in rural areas does not come from the use of the locals but their production for large populations else where.
