Gustave,

You have a point. As I said my knowledge of this group is minimal. You are correct about the moderation of Albanian muslims, the Ayathollah they are not ;). But I still feel that a group that is at least *percieved* as being extremist, and you must admit that the alleged backers (Iran) do not help this, especially by Serbia, is not conducive to warm fuzzy neighborly feelings. Im not so sure that even a moderate muslim (and you know what a boogeyman "muslim" is) Kosovo government that preaches not just an autonomous, but an independent, Kosovo will go over very well and serve the interests of putting a chill on the Balkan fire. Of course, Im sure if Kosovo were handed over to the Pope as a Papal domain, there would be reason to wage war on even the Catholic Church in the Balkans :) We shall see.

What do you think of this proposal to hang EU and NATO membership over the Balkans in an attempt to chill things out? Do you think Northern Europeans could stomach such a proposal?
