Online communications is a lot more advanced than the simpletext e-mail technologies of just a couple of years ago, especially in the areas of Web-based conference calls and real-time group sessions. Two examples of these are from Interactive Telesis Inc. [OTC:TSIS], which has introduced a service that allows for the replay of prerecorded conference calls, and Nettaxi Inc. [OTC:NTXY], which has introduced the Nettaxi Internet CB instant, real-time messaging software.

Interactive Telesis says its new Internet-based record and replay service is a key part of its new suite of Internet services, and utilizes the Web in allowing users to listen to prerecorded conference calls.

Interactive says the new service, called "Internet Record & Replay," is of particular benefit to its clients in the teleconferencing industry, and makes the company's digitally recorded conference calls available over the Internet. The capability is combined with its existing telephone based "Record & Replay" service.

The Internet Record and Replay service makes the conference call recording available for replay on any Web site, and reportedly utilizes "proprietary technologies" to "provide seamless transparent digital recording and replay of conference calls" for its telco clients.

"Any participating telco business customer and their target audience see only the telco company providing all conference call services," says the company.

The Nettaxi Internet CB technology, meanwhile, is instant messaging software based on the PeopleLink product, and enables Internet users to communicate with other users or groups, online and in real time.

Nettaxi Internet CB reportedly allows users to locate other members online and send instant messages or e-mail, achieved by selecting a name and then typing a message into the dialogue box. Users can also find new people to communicate with, based on a variety of search criteria, such as interests, skills, profession, or location.

As a safety and privacy control feature, users can choose who they want to communicate with, and block incoming instant messages or e-mail.

The company says users can also use Nettaxi Internet CB to "reach online help for instant answers to questions regarding such community features as Web page design and e-mail."

Nettaxi Internet CB can be downloaded from nettaxi.com .
