Judging by the bullishness on this tread and the recent overshoot of SUNW stock price above the relative price of WS reports I can only conclude that SUNW is heading lower. Not in a straight line but substantially lower.

One more comment to those buy recommendation. Lehman not only makes a market in SUNW and not only managed or co-managed POS for SUNW but also sits on SUNW board of directors. Now are their report unbiased ?? <GGG> with a target of $135 or 40 times Y2000 earnings.

In another vein I have only positive thinks to say about SUNW the company.

But Java is for free, HWP comes out with very powerful servers as is IBM and all 3 (IBM, HWP, SUNW) including CPQ, MSFT and ORCL and others, are purring hundreds of millions each in E-Commerce.

Intel and DELL & other white box makers will not sit idle for long and cover the low price servers.

Remember Sub $1000 PC was a myth, now we have Sub $500 PC same game in servers and power station.

Usually competition brings prices down and lowers profit margins. SUNW P/E will return to the mean.

Now I will let the bulls make the math.

On stock price only, my recommendation is to SELL SUNW holdings or at least make sure you are properly hedged.

No need for a response but lets speak in 9 months.

Thanks for the post........I happen to own intc, dell also....yes, I remember vividly when they were beating the hell out of intc....now it looks like it is Dell's turn.......Monday is going to be a mess......can't believe that the gurus on WSW were recommending that investors BUY cpq on Monday.
