HS,

The bottom last year was 23...........
I don't think CPQ will get there on Monday......
after the initial sell-off there is always a "dead cat" bounce.
As NW told me, I would wait a few days. Protracted selling could push it lower than last year's bottom. The analysts and fund managers won't appreciate being blind sided, it will take a long time for them to come around again.

Harold, my humble opinion is you should lay down until the thought of buying CPQ passes <gggggg>. Seriously, I would start averaging into a position from 25 on down. This year will be a carbon copy of last year in my opinion - CPigQ will get trashed here and rise into the 40s or 50s by the end of the Christmas season again. Then while everyone is slapping each other on the back about what a great quarter the fourth quarter was......SELL!!!!!!!!!

Just my opinion,
Robbie

>give me some advice, as someone who has never put a dime into this company,
>as to what price I should be looking to buy at Monday morning??

Don't try for the absolute low
Set multiple enrty points
Don't buy all at once
Consider spreading your buys over more than one day (Monday may, or may not be the absolute low)

Harold,
IMHO Monday might bring $25 or below. Buy some then. Wait for a bounce. After the bounce, we might see lower prices. Buy some more shares then. Just buy on the dips. The common advice is anything below $30 is a good buy. Right now I think that is high. I would say anything below $27 1/2.

If you buy, welcome to the Compaq Roller Coaster. Chills, spills, and thrills await you.
