Even if every PC company has a company-specific problem, and the
company-specific problem plaguing each company is the same
problem plaguing all the PC companies, one must use induction to
arrive at the conclusion that there is an industry-wide problem.
And we all know what careful, deductive thinkers the equity analysts
are. They wouldn't want to dabble in some hare-brained notion such
as inductive logic - especially when doing so might threaten their
firm's M&A business.
