OT: The idea that the US is the global human rights champion is one of the history's biggest big lies. US has sometimes been on the side of human rights and sometimes not. US foreign policy is motivated by the idea of world domination not human rights.

Let us not forget when our government expresses great concern for human rights in Kosovo (2000 dead), that this same government is responsible for the death of perhaps 1.5 million civilians in Iraq.

Although some may dispute the 1.5 million figure becasue of its source, UN agencies have estimated the number of deaths at over a million.

Baghdad said that more than 1.5 million Iraqi citizens have died due to the
sanctions imposed on Iraq since 1990.

Iraqi Minister of Health Omid Medhat Mubarak said in statements yesterday that
the average number of children under the age of 5 dying each month in Iraq
reached 6,000 in comparison to 546 before the sanctions, while the monthly
average for children who are above 5 years old is 8,600 after being 1,600
before the siege.

He accused the sanctions committee of obstructing many Iraqi contracts for
importing medicines and medical equipment regarding chronic and heart
diseases and some medical machines, among which are machines for laser
treatment that were halted under the pretext that these machines have military
uses.

The Iraqi minister's declarations came hours before the Security Council's
meeting yesterday to discuss its position toward disarming Iraqi weapons and
sanctions.

Platter, where ever you are, come back. You're oil price updates are sorely missed. The parade is just starting! I have no doubt in my mind that the OSX will bust thru 100 by the end of the year. It's a no brainer that the rig counts will be bottoming out any time now and rates will soon follow. The Simmons (Matt) article was excellent.

Sometime in the next 6 months, the analysts/fund managers will be falling all over themselves again as if becomes "fashionable" to own this sector. The OSX is SOOO over sold at this point that dart throwing at this point would assure 50% gains by year end. You need to step back, cut your computer off, and just let the market forces work. That said, the OSX won't really move until Wall Street decides it's cool to own these stocks again. Now, they're still infatuated with Dell, MSFT, and AOL. IMO massive sector rotation is not far away.

Yea, right. I bet Pat can't wait to parade in downtown Belgrade with Jane Fonda. I can see him now, with his sickening grin, saying, "I told you so."
BTW, what is the finest fighting force in the world supposed to do, just participate in parades and funerals. I guess that's what Pat has in mind.
