mao-recognizing i'm BIASED,i'd say they will be serious.cpq has no credibilty and therefore the whole idea of things getting better that they have been peddling since late 1997 is now suspect.furthermore ,evry evry pc vendor /reseller has been light on revs since muei reported a miss on dec22 ish.it gets worse every month.the problem is overcapacity in a commodity business with collapsing asp's and slowing growth at the high end/corp mkt where 65+% of sale are.this due to the end of y2k remediation, the same reason every software stock ex msft has been pounded.we may need to get more bad news which is on the way as others in this sector report but it is coming and will cause a huge crack in these stocks, imo.intc is next.p.s. inventories are very high also which means q2 will stink too.q3/q4 will be worse due to y2k being done as i said.big lou was right, the pc buisiness is dead(from a profit standpoint).think of them as tv's.
