Ian, except that DELL went into the analysts meeting rallying (to around $49 or so) and since then has lost a big chunk to $43 (and after market Friday, it dropped another $3, I understand from news reports), and the decline was before CPQ's warning. Maybe some people know better. You must admit that there are a lot of cross current going on, the stonger (AMAT) getting stronger and some stocks like CYMI, SVGI and others act as if we are at the beginning of another down cycle in the semi. My strongest indication for weakness in the segment is the complete demoralization in the HDD segment with many stocks now getting very close to last October's lows. I personally do not think that the recovery is aborted, but think that a temporary relapse for less than a quarter could be in the cards.
