OT - based on the new trend...

I am positive the money is now in the Net, not the boxes. Sun alluded to this years ago and we can see it plain as day now. Since the hardcore (read geek) users all have their kick-butt machines, the last great frontier for the box makers (in America anyway) is the general masses. Just like Lotus was the killer app for the mathematically inclined, the Net is the killer app for the typical Joe. Think about it, for the common consumer, there is no need to buy a computer other than to be able to access the net to shop, communicate and do other simple daily activities. This offer by Gobi is a sign of things to come.

It used to be that the computer was the means and therefore it commanded center stage. But that has shifted and the means is now the Net, leaving the box to play second fiddle, for the masses anyway.

Obviously, I am not a professional analyst - this is simply my take on what I am seeing in the marketplace.

Regards,

Dany
