Loki: I think you have a good point about future expectations being the driving force of share price growth. We all have different time horizons and targets.

I think this event has wrung out the superficial goodwill among analysts that the company might make anything from $1.60-$2.OO this year. Most will be in a sulk.

Frankly, I don't know how quickly COMPAQ can re-generate enthusiasm through its new strategy, new products AV and so on. Mason does not help, nor does EP. But money talks, WS soon forgets and I am sure that enthusiams will return in some measure this year. We don't need to see into the distant future, just far enough to get a good price for an exit.

As I've had said before, CPQ is a trading stock, you can still make money off it at these low levels instead of waiting patiently for the Promised Land. Trading a range between $23 and $27 can be more profitable than waiting months for it to go from $41 to $50.

But I am sorry I did not sell my whole CPQ position and make VOCLF my core with 100% margin. (Just kidding)

My horse broke down this morning and I finished up having to push the milk wagon around by hand. Got some nice tips though from old ladies - none of them for COMPAQ.
