A bit off topic, but FDX is also a commodity.

Interesting point. But I figure that since E-commerce is just starting to take off, that FDX still has substantial revenue growth (it being one of the few shippers publically traded).

What really will be required will be regional distribution sites (possible future growth sector?) where electronic orders will be transferred to for final shipment by contracted distributor.

Pitney Bowes sales people claim that this is exactly what their product does + connects to the Internet to automatically feed back delivery time + feed into the company's billing and accounts payable systems. Sounds good, but I have not known the system to work in practice.
