For me it's always Mom's Meatloaf at Black-Eyed Pea.
Great comfort food.

If I were your literary agent, I'd suggest, "You know
that dinner story with CW and his youngladyfriend . . .
let's submit it to Martha Stewart's Living magazine and
see what happens."

Persnickety Martha's reaction likely would make a decent story
unto itself.

I am supposed to be Doing The Taxes. If I don't start soon, it Won't Be Pretty. I am being Nagged Hourly. It's my job because it's my business that makes it complicated, and now my investments. Thank God for Quicken, QuickBooks, and TurboTax.

I tried pointing out that it would be much easier if he would finish moving the children's furniture downstairs and put his furniture in the former children's room and my home-office furniture in his former bedroom, so I actually had a place to work, but he and Ben went to the game store to play "Rail Baron" and "1870," so he didn't. Which gives me a little leverage in the nagging, but not much.

The trump card is, "Why do you always leave everything to the last moment?" I used to be able to say, "because I am busy." I don't want to have to admit that I am lazy, disorganized, and a poor planner. I need to put him on the defensive.
