I think it is still solveable through a ceasefire, getting U.N. and NATO on the same page, getting the Russians involved, and getting back to the table; anyone agree with me on this one ?

>>This is insolvable.<<

Ah, but is there a way for the U.S. to cut its losses and leave the mess to the EU to clean up?

International humiliation would be a small price to pay to avoid a deadly war with Russia/Beleorussia/Yugoslavia. If the place goes up like a tinderbox, political standing won't matter much and we'll enter the new dark ages - that is if we're lucky enough to survive on that level.

Does anyone realize what chaos would ensue if this war got hot and the upper-atmosphere nukes started going off in order to produce communications-destroying EMP? Even without general nuclear exchange, the EMPs could destroy civilization as we know it.

On that Russia/White Russia/Yugoslavia axis: Isn't it odd that White Russia would join instead of Ukraine? Doesn't Ukraine have more in common with Russia and Yugoslavia? Isn't Beleorussia of somewhat Swedish descent?

Please excuse my spelling of "Beleorussia."
