FWIW
Repectfully Catcher, I don't agree. Perhaps intc, but I expect the box makers to have a hard time picking themselves off the floor starting Monday. It's a matter of sustained high profit margin. And at least for awhile, the party's thinning out. I'm sure you've seen this. Reminds of my first cell phone I bought in 89 for $1200. A month later I could have gotten it for $200(w/a 36 mth contract of course).

Those monthly fees, upgrades, advertising space, e-commerce just keep paying. As posted by Vendit:

How far do you see AOL dropping Monday, does anybody feel that a fall-out in earnings for computer makers would affect internet companies bottom line such as AOL's ??? If so, how...???

Thanks J.D.

Catcher,

Couldn't agree with you more..............
investors may be SO FRUSTRATED with the PC stocks......
they may just rotate out of the hardware and into the software or the NET.........given that software is somewhat dependant on the PC's......
the net may be a more favorable choice.
