Lorne : Whether they are frightened, or not, the establishment's power of disinformation, through the media, will cover up or distort anything that happens. eg TWA400 or the Swissair plane. If Bin Laden & Co do a terrorist attack and a few US, or other citizens get killed, so what?! That's merely an excuse for playing war games. Increasingly, I get the feeling that the Kosovo war came about simply as result of Milosevec not being prepared to kiss ass and do what he was told. And now he's being punished just like prefects bully juniors at high school who don't kow tow. Frankly, I don't believe the US or Britain give a continental about the Albanians --- they are simply a convenient means to an end. The reason that they are able to play with the war toys and try out new ones. Which is what they really like. I say this because they have never shown an iota of concern for any other victims of "cleansing" or "genocide". Dare I mention the name "Palestinian"?! Apropos the "big money" and, in fact, the "military/industrial complex", it's my opinion that Slick made a deal with them in order to get off the hook over the Monica debacle. The impeachment stuff was just a movie. I believe that is the reason why Slick, elected as an anti-war pacifist and draft-dodger, is now the biggest "hawk". Whatever soul he had, he sold to the devil.
