Victor...I have to agree with you. Just a rambling thought....Maybe someday there will be a statistical data base and neural system to determine each buyers investment objective, investment purchase behavior, etc....and then have a system to analyze in aggregate the outcomes within seconds. That would be incredibly insightful and useful....but a little scary!

I was reading an article on Compaq's profit warning, and an analyst from Bear-Stearns stated that after Mondays thrashing of its stock, which he expects to fall to the $23 to $24 range, Compaq must make the Alta-Vista IPO announcement for the stock to regain any upward movement. He went on to criticize management on their reasoning for having not proceeded with the IPO during the present internet craze "they always seem to be a step behind their rivals". I have a feeling that the Alta-Vista IPO will be announced April 21st. Any idea how much of a boost it will give Compaq ??
