>>Andrew, you know more about IDTC than almost anyone. And I don't mean to argue with you. I am sure that my numbers are all way off. My point is that the existing IDTC shareholders (inluding 38% for Jonas) own Net2Phone now. The IPO isn't going to dramatically change that. I am suggesting that everyone who thinks that they aren't going to benefit that much by holding on longer-term to what they have now and that they should sell their shares just after the announcement and before the IPO are fooling themselves.<<

Actually, Hawaii is the resident expert--whatever I know I learned from him and KSE and a couple of others on the Yahoo! board. These guys are IMO real experts.

I didn't think we were arguing, rather just speculating on the terms of a very interesting situation. Personally I hope you are correct and we see a large percentage of the spinoff going to shareholders since that will mean a higher value for IDT and more shares of Net2phone for us. I just hate to raise expectations too high for fear they will be dashed (my own especially).

Differences of opinion are what makes the market for all of us. At this point we are all guessing about the terms of the IPO. However, I completely agree that those who hold IDTC will be well rewarded, even thought the shares may temporarily dip when the IPO first trades independently. This is a great situation for both traders and long term holders.
