Paul,

Re: "AMD just announced a 22% drop in UNIT SHIPMENTS - from 5.5 million last
quarter to 4.3 million this quarter."

Since this drop was due to AMD's "manufacturing problems", then I wonder
who increased their shipments by 1.2 Million CPU's (NSM ?? ... IDTI ?? <ggg>).

Make It So,
Yousef

Paul Re <<For AMD to gain market share, the market (i. e., Intel) would have to be DROPPING at a 23% unit rate - or higher.>>

Yes you are right. AMD did lose market share this quarter compared to the last.

How ever AMD did gain market share compare to the comparative quarter of last year, and considering that they shipped about 2.4 million CPU on March I expect the trend to continue.

Paul, at what price do you consider Intel a good buy?
