I read the whole DAR thread (all the new ones, at least). Wouldn't miss it for the world. Don't actually have a life, and the newspaper is full of misery and Clinton. I don't read all of Feelies, I skip the polemical dissertations.

I can understand how you reached critical mass long ago. It shows you have more sense than most. I think there is a life long investing lesson for us, here. On the myth thread they say -f- fundamentals don't matter any more. Well, almost. The real lesson, I think is fundamentals matter more when cash is scarce and much more when there is inflation.

Have you ever checked out MB's 90/10 theory of 90% money markets/10% options (puts in this case). 10% is your put budget for the year. Keeps you in the game.

btw, I don't mean to deliver bad karma by sounding preachy about what this market has taught...because believe you me, I thought we were past critical mass long ago, too. i'm just trying to understand the runaway market, too.
