Bay Street Agrees!! Just looked through my latest up date from *BAY $TREET BYTE$*, expressing much the same sentiments as yours. In typical Canadian media fashion (and I am a Canadian) no head shall rise higher than the rest. Something good happening with a Canadian company? Bring on the rain (or at least very wet snow). As Laurel in *BAY $TREET BYTE$* has eluded to many times, I just don't think we get it. BII, soon to be BIDS on the Nasdaq, has patented technology. PATENTED a means of conducting e-commerce at the beginning of what will become the new order. The internet will change many many things in our lives, and it is just in its infancy. One of the biggest things it will change is the ways we conduct business, and there is HUGE evidence of this already. Five years ago most people on this thread probably never heard of the internet. Where will we be five years from now? Bouncing our e-dollars all over cyberspace, big time. How does it come together for BII? Please look at the big picture. Look a little past the Nasdaq, past the next press release and the cut and thrust of the traders. This company will incorporate broad band technology to bring the world realtime declining price auctions at its finger tips. The Dutch Auction is fast, it can be scheduled or "time slotted" if you like, and it can be kind of exciting. The item comes up, the clock ticks and its over in a few minutes. Look at the Home Shopping Channel and its success. This is the same model only BETTER because the item price declines. Now take it a step further and throw in perishables and time dated merchandise like plane tickets, concerts and the business to business side. As a wholesaler, if you're stuck with a truck load of oranges, declining price looks much better than no price. Or the airlines with a few seats left on their flight. Which purchase model is the Consumer more likely to go for? Escalating price or declining? "I wasn't sure I wanted to buy that shipment, but the price just kept goin' down!" This isn't make believe, this is what Godin has stated during previous interviews (Investors On-Line hosted by Pat Bolland Saturday, February 13, 1999). This is why they have aligned themselves with cable and media companies. THEY HAVE A PATENT ON THIS! When the internet replaces your TV in the next 5 years and your looking for that last minute deal on an airfare, maybe give that Dutch Auction thing a try, even if your in Dublin or Denmark or Australia. Over the short term this stock may go up a little, and it may go down a little, but the tidal wave is just a ripple right now. By the way, they also do regular auctions.
