Wasn't it IBM that said the PC is dead. It knows PCs are not profitable. That is why it is growing it's other divisions.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch !!

IBM is a LOT MORE than "just a box maker." They have and are continuing to evolve a whole, complete "Information Management, e-Commerce, etc." focus & plan, utilizing ALL of their strengths, not just "a product here, a market there," etc.. !

Earnings out in about a week or so - generally seen (IMHO) that they will make the numbers and possibly beat them, and with the Annual Stockholders' Meeting in early May, the potential for a split almost a done-deal, a lot is coming.
