Bill,

You must mean my reference about USWB... did you notice the option activity? Anyway covered call writing in simplified term - the writer banks on the stock going sideways until expiry to retain the stock... essentially a neutral short but slightly more complicated (the underlying stock is frozen in place until exercised), artificially lowering the float for whatever mechanics the technicians want to do with it. In USWB's case, I'm just a little bullish on it than they are... and a really suspicious cuss... <VBG>

Nothing wrong with covered call writing at all... it can be conservatively profitable to the writer... less so than the people that has the big picture of course. I think I better stop now... there may be proponents of Wade Cook out there, and my views are totally unscientific... pure opinion... and not meant to degrade anybody's profitability.

Here's an SI link to covered calls... lots of educational matters there and good people... www3.techstocks.com
