Seems to me the only real postings involving an EBay buyout in the past week or more are when you bring it up! Oh, sure, occassionally someone says something like "Even if there IS a buyout offer I wouldn't sell MY shares". It died a natural death some time back; I don't think many still give it even a thought.

Everyone that I know could care less about a buy-out of BID.COM before the NASDAQ, they will not sell one share of BID.COM regardless what the price, until they are at least 1 month into the NASDAQ, and only so many then.!!They intend to let 300 million Americans be the judge on the BID.COM price, the USA is 2 years ahead of Canada in putting a price on Internet e-commerce stocks. Let's hope that Major New York Company does a good job in promoting this little Shop Naked International Canadian Company to the American people through the Nasdaq shareholders, American Newspapers and CNBC-TV etc.

>> "This will put the EBAY buyout of BII trash rumors to rest!!!"<<

EBAY-Inc. S-1/A 4/1/99

"The Company has no present plans or commitments and is not currently engaged in any negotiations with the respect to such transactions that are material"

"we may need to develope or license additional technologies. Our
inability to add additional software and hardware or to upgrade our technology,Transaction processing systems or network infrastructure to accommodate increased traffic or transaction volume could have adverse consequences."

Maybe not.. for now, but it's sure is possible in the future.
