<OT> CTC, :-) Well, my only interest in Western music is in the classical sort. As a foreigner, I find the book stores, the music stores, the indie movie halls, the repertory theaters and the symphony orchestra in Boston simply amazing. My reference point is Calcutta, a city which claims itself to be the Paris of India from a cultural POV. When I am back in India I will miss PBS, NPR (Fresh Air and Christopher Lydon in particular), the indie movie channel on cable, the Saturday afternoon live broadcasts from the Met and the evening live broadcats from the BSO. -BGR.
