pete, i pointed out where workstations were down, servers were way down to slightly up - depending on low end or high end (pssst - low end was up slightly, high end stunk). what is left?

yes, notebooks made up for the shortfalls in desktops, workstation and servers. yeah, right ;-)

Peter, Nope, 1998 was down for pc sales. Down for server sales. Down for workstation sales. Notebooks, as a segment, did fairly well. MB
