Judy,
CPQ has given nothing but sell signals since Feb 1, doesn't it make sense that most of the "smart money" left CPQ and that the downside is limited anyway to the recent purchasers bailing out? I think that the market reaction will be a mere blip on the screen.

Got stopped out of INKT on Thursday...ARGGHHHHH!!!!

In VERT on Friday. The 2x4 slipped off of OJ's head and whacked me.

Tom

Judy: I agree with you completely. Analyzing my move into this piglet, I can see I was taking each piece and examining it and putting it together in MY OWN HEAD -- and not looking at the mess CPQ management was, in reality, making. (This is a good lesson for all investors and traders to heed.) CPQ is a sad story of opportunity frittered away, enterprises bungled and flat out crummy execution. I have to say, I was stunned by the shortfall and I still am. Sigh. Fortunately more than half of my position prices in below Friday's close, so it is not a disaster for me. Plus I legged into ELNK Fri PM at 79 (!). Pleased about that. You've been on target re CPQ. Hats off. Monday will be bad, but I now think the crash down will not swamp all the boats by a long shot. Thanks, Stephan

Judy,my opinion on CPQ. I've been watching for well over a year...it's done nothing! I had thought way back then, even suggested publicly that they needed to change their distribution system....The only reason I was following it was it killed SMOD...well they did make some changes a few months later more along what Dell does and cleared their channel. The stock recovered abit. I just think they have too many shares! I've also heard they are spinning off AltaVista

I have thought about buying several times recently as a value investor....even thought it would look very appealing below $20 as it will be on Monday....Many people will jump on it for that reason....I decided I'm not interested. Too many fish in the sea! My main reason still is....too many shares. Wow...I don't think I've ever really used that as a reason not to buy a stock before???? I'm sticking with that one.<g>

I do think it will do some serious damage to the market Monday. So I'd rather buy the stocks it takes down....fortunately I cashed out Friday, so I'm feeling very comfortable...I hate BB stocks but bought some CLWK before close....I had a whole slue of orders just didn't get any fills. I still like PER and will buy my shares back. I have always liked INTC, I just think I can buy it cheaper later in the year. Along with many over-priced blues....I pray everyday for discounts in LU.

Jeff

Judy,
I completely agree with you. I wish I left some cash free to buy a few I-net bargains tomorrow. As a policy, I don't use margin, but tomorrow looks like it might be a put selling day.
