I think I'd prefer to give him a shower or decontaminate him. In the Corps we used to take cruds down to the shower room and "field day" him, scrub him with long-handled floor brushes and lye soap and hose him down with cold water. Of course, we lost a few, but no big deal. It was better and more fun than a keel-hauling. Ashore, we never had a keel handy. To tell the truth, of all the cruds I've known, Emile is the most long-winded, irrepressible, and annoying. We are faced with a real phenomenon here. In the old days a preacher like this could only ruin a single town, unless he went on circuit. Today he's got the whole internet. I think he could win the vote as the first astronaut for an intergalactic probe.

I see that you are relatively new to dealing with Emile. He is unquestionably evil - in some locales he is known as "Evile Vermin" - but his evil is so overt and unconcealed that it is in some ways almost refreshing. He has one great virtue: he is the one subject on which virtually everyone on SI agrees. In that sense he can be considered a peacemaker and a bringer of consensus to a highly fractious place, a noble and honorable role.
