CTC, I think an important issue that is causing problems for CPQ and other inventory laden PC makers is strong demand for the PIII. This demand causes delays in purchases and PC makers with inventory get stuck holding the bag with obsolete inventory. Dell (and GTW) with 6-8 days of inventory can immediately begin selling the PIII's without skipping a beat. The PC companies with inventory have to liquidate the obsolete inventory at fire sale prices. We saw the same phenomenon last year when Dell made more money in the first two quarters than CPQ, IBM, HWP and GTW combined. This is why all is well with Dell and GTW, and the rest are taking the pipe. JMHO.
