>>wily, there may be outages, but I haven't experienced major pain. But, I don't use Streamer and I don't use the main server ("www.datek.com"). I use QCharts for data and the Datek high-speed orders servers - orders7 or orders 16.<<

Is that a well-kept secret at Datek, about choice of servers?

How was Datek Oct. 8 and similar internet mania days?

Is it possible to trade the first 5 minutes from the open?

I understand that an Island order entered through Datek can't get cancelled for crossing the market -- true?

Have you tried the remote firms?

Thanks for all the info (saving to file),
wily

PS Do you know how it will be if/when Island becomes an exchange -- i.e., will they still be integrated on Level II with Nasdaq? I'd think they would have to.

May I ask where you were on the morning of Monday, Nov. 30 1998, the day after the Thanksgiving weekend?
