Ask yourself one question. Do you consider MUEI a good buy. It has less than 1% of Dell's mkt cap and about 2% of CPQ's mkt cap. So obviously it looks cheap but as Dell and Compaq's revenues are sliding is MUEI picking up the pace? The answer is no because as society becomes more computer literate they will discover that the benefits of purchasing a brand computer may not be worth the extra money spent. I have two generic boxes made with the best components. They were 20% cheaper than a branded computer yet I still purchased a computer with brand name parts (modem, video card, sound card, hd, etc..) Does MUEI,Dell,or anyone else make a better computer? Does the warranty and customer service justify the premium? The answer maybe yes now but when boxes hit sub $500 people will realize that the brand of the computer does not matter. Rather its is the brand of the component.
