Bill, not at all! The PC is running MUCH BETTER. RT3 loads faster, (and on the first try now) and is stable all day. I never see the "text disappearing" any more.

The new "blue screen" issue is FAR BETTER than the previous condition. I will wait to see if the SWAP file change will eliminate the "blue screen". I have not seen a blue screen since the swap change, but until Monday with a FULL LOAD of work running, I'll reserve judgement of that recommendation! (g)

Thank you (all) for the help.

Colin

I've got a new problem, not a serious one, but I thought I'd report it.

In the past few days when I logon the system hangs - hourglass symbol, no response to mouse clicks. Ctrl-Alt-Dlte brings up a window with a Realtick not responding msg. Sometimes it's taken two or three End Tasks to get a clean logon.

Anybody else have this problem?

Reading the latest msg from MBT I now understand that joining MBT is like joining a monastic order. You must take vows of obedience and chastity .

Lest I be misunderstood - I love MBT!

But sometimes I get the message that if you want Realtick to work acceptably you much devote all your system's resources to the program.
